The Middle School softball team won their season opener against Gilbert Christian Greenfield, 9 - 8.  Maddie Ketchum and Madison Gardner pitched 3 and 2 solid innings respectively which allowed the team to come from behind and score 3 in the last inning for the win.  Kaylee Howell and Ingrid Gardner did yeoman's work behind the plate while Jilly Dolce, Madison Gardner, and Emma Whitfill flashed some leather in the field.  The offense was led by Emma Whitfill with a 3-run homer, while Maddie Ketchum, Kaylee Howell and Madison Gardner contributed with singles.
